LYD MARIE

MUSIC VIDEOS

I’ve been making music videos since I was 9 years old. Now that I’m releasing my own music, my goal is to create beautiful videos for each song. These videos are filmed with the help of my creative friends and directed and edited by me.

BIO

Lyd Marie brings a world of experience to her debut self-produced album. From afrobeat and neo-soul to folk americana, her lyrical storytelling and rich vocal harmonies turn every track into a soothing balm for the soul. Co-founder and percussionist of Austin’s beloved all female world folk band Ley Line, Lydia Froncek steps into uncharted territory in her solo project Lyd Marie. She draws on her strong percussive background and love for collaboration.

A developed songwriter who has worked as a mentor with refugees, young mothers, war veterans and everyone in between, Lydia’s songs are defined by their honest vulnerability. Her current project highlights the unique sound of the Senegalese talking drum which she has studied for the past ten years.

As a member of Ley Line, Lydia has performed at festivals around the country including Austin City Limits, Telluride Bluegrass, Kerrville Folk Festival.
